Brad Ross

Company Director and Founder

Founder and owner of Australian Poly Solutions (APS), Brad Ross, has vast and extensive experience in the plastic pipe & plumbing industries, with over 27+ years on the job.

Prior to founding APS, Brad’s experience gained through a multitude of projects including the Glenmaggie Rising Sewer Main project, Morwel River Diversion Project (Yallourn Power Station), & the Storm Water Slip-lining Project at Hazelwood Power Station, has given Brad the complete insight and experience that has proved invaluable in running APS. Skills gained through these projects, in addition to his 20+ previous years as a domestic & industrial plumber, have equipped Brad with the project management, equipment & human resources skills vital to providing top quality on-site welding services to his clients, with professionalism and quality unrivalled in the industry.

Brad’s passion and commitment to customer service and quality work is second to none. Many will be surprised to find that he is very hands on with each and every project, and still gets on the tools himself, despite having other staff to delegate these jobs to. This is one of the qualities that have helped APS earn the reputation for hard working professionalism, honesty, trustworthiness, flexibility, and the ability to complete top quality work under the toughest of conditions.

Evidence speaks for itself, and Brad’s expertise and commitment on the job is shown through the results of what he considers as his most successful project since founding APS, the Ravenhall Prison Project. In this project, APS were responsible for welding 36km of various diameter PE100 pipelines, including gas, water, sewer and recycled water. This monster of a job meant that APS completed over 3000 butt fusion welds over a 9-month period, with no weld defects or failures, and zero injuries to staff. Only the best of the best could have done this to such a high standard, and with Brad’s leadership & project management skills, APS certainly delivered.

If you want the best of the best, then for your next pipeline project, contact Brad & the team at Australian Poly Solutions – the name really does say it all!

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Because we believe in a commitment to quality, our work is supported by three testing regimes:

  • Datalogging by the McElory DataLogger to record and document key parameters of the fusion process and verify that proper procedures have been followed prior to installation.
  • Independent tensile testing to ensue the integrity of the welds.
  • Hydrostatic field testing to assess the installed structural integrity of the pipeline; reveal any faults or defects in the welds, and validate the pipeline is fit for purpose at an acceptable level of pressure.

“Just wanted to say thank you for all the effort APS put in to ensuring the completion of HDPE scope up here at Orbost.  The service and quality of work has been great, as has APS’s ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing circumstances.

Been a pleasure to work with both of you (and the guys on site also)”
